Statement of Compliance

Statement of Compliance under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021

Ewafun (referred to as “the Hub”) functions as a Social Media Intermediary according to the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (the “Rules”). Our Hub has established rigorous protocols and frameworks to ensure full adherence to these legal standards.

Policies and Procedures

Our core documents, including the Privacy Statement, Usage Agreement, and Community Protocols, are available to all members within the profile settings. We ensure that participants are informed of policy updates at least once every year.

Members are further advised that violating these guidelines may result in restricted access, account closure, or the removal of non-compliant data. Official alerts are communicated through the specialized Notification area within the Hub.

Content Regulation

In addition to adhering to the Rules, the App Policies specifically prohibit users from publishing content that:

  • Interferes with an individual's physical privacy or is abusive on the basis of gender, specifically concerning minors.
  • Is demonstrably inaccurate or deceptive despite appearing legitimate.
  • Assumes another's identity with fraudulent intent or to cause harassment or injury.
  • Endangers the unity, safety, or sovereignty of the nation.
  • Contradicts any established legal requirements.

We utilize advanced technical oversight, including intelligent algorithms, to identify and deactivate materials that fall under these restricted categories. We maintain a strict nudity prohibition; any such content is removed immediately upon detection.

Legal Compliance

Directives from authorized judicial or government bodies for material removal should be submitted to the Resident Grievance Lead at support@ewafun.in. The Hub is committed to disabling access to any unlawful material within 36 hours of a valid notification.

When a written order from a lawfully authorized government agency is received, the App will provide the required information or assistance within 72 hours.

Data Retention

In compliance with the Rules:

  • Registration information will be retained for 180 days from the date of cancellation or withdrawal of registration.
  • Information removed due to violations will be retained for 180 days for investigation purposes or for such longer period as required by court or government agencies.

Grievance Redressal & Legal Orders

The App's mechanism for handling grievances is detailed in the section titled "App Process for Grievance Redressal." Upon receipt of a court order under the Rules, the App may facilitate the identification of the first originator of the information in question.

This version ensures compliance with the IT Rules 2021 while maintaining general legality and user responsibility within the intermediary framework.
